Request for Temporary Noise By-Law Exemption

Notwithstanding any other provision of the Noise By-Law, any person may make application to the Clerk for a permit to allow for the temporary emission of Noise otherwise restricted by the By-Law for the period of time set out in the application.

Before completing this form, please note you will be required to provide contact information for any person who will be supervising the event/activity as well as the steps you will take to minimize the planned Noise.

The fee for submitting the application is $50.00 non-refundable and is to be paid by credit card upon submission.  In the event you are unable to complete the application and payment online, please contact the Clerks department at clerks@tecumseh.ca or 519-735-2184.

Submission of this Application for Temporary Exemption is not confirmation that the exemption has been permitted.  Any Permit granted will specify the day(s) and time period(s) the Noise will be permitted and may contain terms and conditions at the discretion of the Clerk.

  4. Collection of Personal Information: Information requested on this form is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act R.S.O. 2001 as amended. The information is required in order to process the application. The name and business address of the applicant and/or authorized agent is public information. The address of the property, which is subject of the application, is also public information. Please be advised that any personal information (i.e., name, address) may become part of a public record in an electronic (i.e., website) and/or paper format (i.e., agenda/minutes).
